ORAL COMMUNICATION GUIDELINES

Oral communication presentations are strictly limited to 8 minutes, plus 2 minutes for questions/discussion.

Please take note of the two possible options for presenting your oral communication. You must choose between one of these two presentation options.

 

OPTION 1: LIVE PRESENTATION

• If you choose this option (1), your presentation will be held, live, during one of the oral communications sessions.
• Oral communications sessions will be held in virtual rooms. We will use the platform ZOOM.
• Oral presentation is strictly limited to a maximum of 8 minutes. Please, be rigorous with the duration of your presentation.
• At the end of the presentation there will be a discussion and live questions round (2 minutes).
• In case you choose to do your presentation live (OPTION 1), please let us know with deadline November 4th, 2020. Please indicate the name and work centre of the presenting author.
• In the next days we will send you the date and time of the session scheduled for the presentation of your oral communication.


OPTION 2: PREVIOUS RECORDING

• If you choose this option (2), the presentation must be previously recorded by the presenting author, and must be sent by email to the Technical Secretariat: esa2020@piccongresos.com with deadline November 9th, 2020 at midnight (CET UTC+1).
• Oral presentation video is strictly limited to a maximum of 8 minutes. Please, be rigorous with the duration of your presentation.
• Oral communications sessions will be held in virtual rooms. We will use the platform ZOOM.
• The presentations will be exposed during a oral communications session. At the end of the presentation there will be a discussion and live questions round (2 minutes). Therefore, the attendance of the Author (presenter) at the virtual session assigned is mandatory, to participate in the questions and answers round.
• Please, save your presentation recording file under the name of the code of your oral (ID-XXX).
When sending your files, please indicate the name and work centre of the presenting author. Each presenting author is requested to be available online during the oral communications session scheduled for him/her presentation, to answer any questions concerning their oral presentation.
• In the next days we will send you the date and time of the session scheduled for the presentation of your oral communication ID-XXX.


RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RECORDING YOUR PRESENTATION

  • Record your video in landscape format.
  • IMPORTANT: include only copyright free content. Do not include comercial or copyrighted music, images or videos. The use of commercial or copyrighted content may block the streaming of the symposium.
  • Avoid the presence of external noise during recording.
  • Make sure the lighting is adequate, and avoid the use of white, striped or other backgrounds that may create image distortion.
